Abstract Awards
Students & Trainees from around the world are eligible for awards associated with their submission of an abstract for the 2012 ACCP Annual Meeting. Following notification of receipt of an award, Students & Trainees must register and attend the Annual Meeting in order to receive the award and/or honorarium.
Student & Trainee Awards
The eight Student & Trainee Award winners will be presented with a certificate and $1,000 honorarium, a complimentary registration to attend the Annual Meeting and an invitation to attend the Honors & Awards/Regents Dinner. Student Awards are presented during the Honors & Awards/Regents Dinner held prior to the Annual Meeting and also acknowledged during the last day of the Annual Meeting.

New Member Abstract Award
The New Member Abstract Award is given for the best abstract submitted by a new Member of the College for presentation at the Annual Meeting. Abstracts submitted by new Members will be judged during the poster sessions, and the award winner will be announced during lunch on the day following the last poster session. A short talk outlining the summary of the findings of the study will be presented by the recipient.

Wayne A. Colburn Memorial Award
The Wayne A. Colburn Memorial Award honors the memory of the late Wayne A. Colburn, Former ACCP President of the College at the time of his passing on February 2, 2003 - View Entire Obituary
The Wayne A. Colburn Memorial Award will be given for the best paper among the eight Student/Trainee Award winners, as judged by the Program Committee during the poster sessions at the Annual Meeting. The winner of the Wayne A. Colburn Memorial Award will also receive a plaque and an honorarium of $500. At the time the award is presented, the author will be asked to give a short talk outlining the findings of the study.

To be considered for one of these abstract awards in a calendar year, Students & Trainees must submit abstracts by the specified April deadline.
