Peter H. Wiernik, MD Receives 2016 Walter Reed Distinguished Achievement Award


The American College of Clinical Pharmacology (ACCP) is pleased to announce that Peter H. Wiernik, MD, ACCP Regent and Fellow, is co-recipient of the 2016 Walter Reed Distinguished Achievement Award, as recognized by the Univ of Virginia (UVA) Medical Alumni Association. The award was presented on April 30th by UVA School of Medicine Dean David S. Wilkes, MD. Dr. Charles W. Cummings, MD, also received the award.
 
The Walter Reed Distinguished Achievement Award acknowledges exceptional accomplishments, innovation and leadership in the field of medicine.

Since graduating from the Univ of Virginia School of Medicine in 1965, Dr. Wiernik has provided substantial contributions to clinical leukemia research supported by grants and contracts from various high-level sources.
